ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WCIV) — An Orangeburg man is in jail after being charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11.
Earl Tucker of Edisto Drive faced a bond court judge Friday and the bond amount was deferred to a circuit court judge.
Investigators say the 27-year-old raped the child between 2014 and 2015. The sheriff's office was notified of possible sexual misconduct in December 2016.
Tucker faces between 10 and 30 years in prison, if convicted.
Virginio Rivera-Navarro, age 38, is being charged with continuous sexual assault of a child, a 1st-degree felony.
Police say on March 8th, officers responded to a sexual assault call from the victim's mother.
The younger victim, who's 13-years-old, told investigators she was just nine when the suspect began touching her legs at night when only she and her brother when home.
She added this happened on four separate occasions every four weeks, according to Navarro Rivera's arrest affidavit.
Court documents say one night when the victim was 10, Navarro-Rivera sexually abused her while her brother was in the shower and her mother and sister weren't home. Navarro also told the victim her mom "would not like her anymore" if she talked about the encounters.
The girl told detectives this continued to happen once a month for approximately 4 years.
On another occasion, Rivera-Navarro came into the victim's room after sending his son to the shower. He then took her shorts off, abused her, and after seeing her cry, he stated: "Tu hermana no llora asi", which translates to "your sister does not cry like that."
Almost four years later, on March 8th, the victim finally told her mother that the suspect was a "raper." Her sister also came forward, according to Rivera-Navarro's affidavit.
When questioned by investigators, the accused confirmed the encounters. Rivera-Navarro was later arrested and is being held on a $200,000 bond.

Police arrested a man on nine felony and three misdemeanor charges after a child told them that a man forced her to perform sexual acts on several occasions.
The child, who is now a teenager, told police March 1 that Joseph Lee Albright, 33, of Lewistown, forced her perform sexual acts from June 1 to Aug. 31, 2010 when she visited Mifflin County. Albright, at the time, was 26 years old, police said.
Albright, during one visit, unzipped his pants, and then used her hand to masturbate, according to the affidavit of probable cause. Another incident included Albright exposing himself and masturbating while lying on her bed, police said.
The girl also told police that another incident began when Albright took her into his bedroom, told her to get undressed and put her on his bed. He attempted, but failed to have vaginal sex with her, then put a blanket over her head and made her perform oral sex on him, police said.

Albright was unable to post $50,000 monetary bail set by Mifflin County Judge Jack E. Miller.
Mifflin County Correctional Facility staff said they are unable to provide a mugshot of Albright.
A Catholic priest has been charged over the sexual assault of a young boy on the NSW mid north coast in the late 1970s.
Police say the victim, now 46, came forward in March 2014, a year after the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse was established.
It's alleged the man was sexually abused by two Catholic priests and another man between 1979 and 1980.
The assaults happened when the victim was aged between nine and 12.
Detectives arrested one of the accused priests in Newcastle and charged him with three counts of indecent assault on a male.
The 76-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear in court on April 5.
The priest has agreed to stand aside from the ministry, Bishop Bill Wright from the Maitland-Newcastle Catholic Diocese said in a statement after the arrest.
But he refused to confirm when the church was made aware of the allegations.
"We are unable to comment further on this matter at this time, other than to say again that we have, and will continue to, co-operate with NSW Police in their investigations," Bishop Wright said.
"We have confidence in our criminal justice system to deal properly with this matter in due course."

BRYSON CITY - A Swain County man was convicted of being an accessory before the fact to statutory rape of a child, according to district attorney Ashley Welch.
David Joe Shuler, 52, of Bryson City, was sentenced to serve a minimum of 58 months to a maximum of 82 months, roughly four to seven years, at the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections following a Swain County Superior court jury's conviction, according to a news release.
He must also register as a sex offender for 30 years, according to the Swain County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators say that Shuler facilitated the crime by pretending to be the father of one of the juvenile victim's friends who had come to pick the victim up for an all girls sleepover in 2015. He assured the victim's family that there would be adult supervision, and no boys would be at the sleepover.
However, Shuler dropped the victim off with another man at a mobile home, Welch said.
The victim remained with that man for the next day and a half where she was raped, she said. Shuler owned the mobile home.
Welch said Shuler's conviction acts as an example for how seriously her office takes the responsibility to protect children.
"I commend Sheriff Cochran and the Swain County Sheriff's Office for bringing us the evidence we needed to achieve justice in this case," she said.
