LEBANON, Tenn. - Officials in Lebanon have arrested a 55-year-old man on rape charges following an investigation involving children.
Reports stated 55-year-old Joseph Leroy Durham, Jr. of Lebanon, was taken into custody and booked into the Wilson County Jail.
Durham was charged with aggravated statutory rape and rape of a child.
According to reports, the allegations of sex abuse were reported to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office by the mother of the victims.
Authorities investigated, conducted multiple interviews, and collected evidence which resulted in Durham’s arrest.
“This was a very trying case for our investigators as it involves children,” stated Sheriff Robert Bryan. “This is an ongoing investigation and we feel that once it is completed, that there will be more charges coming against Mr. Durham. I commend our investigators for all of the hard work that they put in this case.”
Durham was being held with no bond. He has been scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. on June 14.

Lebanon Man Arrested For Alleged Rape Of Child Apr 19, 2017


A 52-year-old man from the Cy-Fair area has been charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child. 
Ezequiel Garza of Houston is accused of sexually abusing a female victim from the time she was 6 years old until she was 17 years old. 
The child reported the abuse to a family member, prompting an investigation, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Child Abuse Unit. 
Investigators interviewed Garza, who admitted he had been touching the victim inappropriately for a number of years.
Garza has since posted a $100,000 bond and is awaiting his next Harris County District Court appearance on May 8. 


A 24-year-old Montgomery man was arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting children and women, including choking one woman to make her unconscious to heighten his sexual pleasure, according to court documents.
The Montgomery Police Department charged Logan Craft on Monday with two counts of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, one count of first-degree domestic violence by strangulation and one charge of first-degree sodomy, said Cpl. David Hicks, a spokesman for MPD.
Craft is accused of sexually assaulting one child between April 10 and April 14. Another child was sexually assaulted between April 3 and April 7 in the area of Mobile Highway.
In addition, two separate cases were reported where women were sexually assaulted in January. Both cases occurred during consensual sex, however when the women pleaded to stop, Craft used physical force to continue the abuse.
He is accused of strangling one victim until she was unconscious and continued to sexually abuse her because he admitted it "heightened his sexual pleasure" according to court documents.
Craft is currently being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a total $150,000 bond.

Stony Point PD has arrested a 25-year-old man on nine counts of sexual abuse against a child less than 7-years-old and one count of assault causing serious injury. The highest count amongst the charges is tantamount to an accusation of rape.
On April 18 Stony Point detectives made the arrest after an investigation into a sexual assault in a Tomkins Cove apartment during the past month. Marc A. Melter, 25, residing at Apt. 12 of Prospect Place in Tomkins Cove, formerly of New City, is charged with three counts of predatory sexual assault against a child less than 12 (Class A-II felony); three counts of criminal sexual activity against a child less than 11 in the first degree (Class B felony); three counts of aggravated sexual abuse in the second degree (C felony) and one count of assault in the second degree, causing a serious injury to a victim less than 7-years-old.
Detectives accuse Melter of abusing the child, whom the police said is less than 7-years-old, on several occasions. The charge of predatory assault against a child less than 12 carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a minimum of three to eight years in prison. The penal code definition of the count “predatory assault against a child” is tantamount to a rape charge.
The defendant was arraigned in Stony Point Justice Court by Judge Frank Phillips and remanded to the Rockland County Jail on no bail.

Melter is scheduled to appear in court April 21 at 1:30 p.m. The Rockland County Child Protective Services assisted in the investigation. 

Man accused of raping child in Tomkins Cove  

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - A Broome County Grand Jury has handed up an indictment of a man accused of committing sexual conduct against a child.
Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell says Joseph Lombardo, 36, has been indicted on the charges of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a Class A-II Felony, and Attempted Rape, in the first degree, a Class C Felony.
Cornwell says that Lombardo 'committed sexual conduct against a child, less than thirteen years old'.
He says the case was investigated by the Endicott Police Department and the Broome County D.A.'s office, and was presented directly to a grand jury.
The indictment was sealed until Wednesday in Broome County Court.

DA: Man indicted for predatory sexual assault, attempted rape of child Apr 19, 2017

JACKSBORO, Tenn. (WATE) – A Campbell County man was sentenced for multiple counts of child rape.
Norman Craig Good79was sentenced to 110 years in prison. On January 19, 2017, a Campbell County jury found Good guilty of two counts of rape of a child, one count of attempted rape of a child, fourteen counts of aggravated sexual battery, one count of attempted aggravated sexual battery and two counts of solicitation of a minor to commit rape of a child.
This case was investigated and prosecuted by Chief Danny Chapman of the Jacksboro Police Department, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Department of Children’s Services. Campbell County Children’s Center was also an integral part of the investigation and trial, according to the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.

An East London man who sexually assaulted girls as young as four years old has been sentenced to 90 years in prison by the Grahamstown High court sitting in East London.


Four of the girls had been in the safe house run by the 58-year-old’s relative because they were victims of rape.
The man, 58, who cannot be identified as he is related to the victims was sentenced on April 5, after he was found guilty on eight charges including rape, attempted rape and sexual assault.
The crimes were committed between 1992 and 2014 in East London’s suburb of West Bank and in the Queenstown area.
He received 17 years in jail for two counts of indecent assault; eight years for attempted rape; 25 years for three counts of sexual assault and 15 years for rape.
Another victim, a boy, is the rapist’s stepson.
The case was investigated by Detective Sergeant Bubele Dyasi of East London’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Investigations Unit.

CAPE TOWN - A Kraaifontein pastor has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a child rape committed 47 years ago.
In January, 78-year-old Carl Baron was found guilty of two counts of rape for crimes he committed in 1970.
The court had previously heard how the pastor gained his eight-year-old victim’s trust because he was a senior member of her father’s church.
During sentencing proceedings Magistrates Amanda van Leave reiterated details of the victim's account of what happened to her could not be dismissed.
The victim now in her 50s says she was eight years old when Baron raped her in an isolated area along Old Modderdam Road in 1970.
He was also convicted of raping her during a church gathering in Oudtshoorn later that year.
Baron appealed for clemency because he's a respected member of the community.
During his trial his lawyer called two senior members of his Emmanuel Pentecostal Mission church to testify in his defence. He's been granted leave to appeal his sentence.
