A father personally served justice to a teen who was arrested for raping his 7-month-old baby.
The 17-year-old teen, from India, appeared in court after being caught raping the 7-month-old girl. During the hearing, the girl's father said he would forgive the teen and accept compensation for the horrific crime. The teen was set free and the father even offered to take him home on his bike. While on their way, the father stopped the bike and tied the teen to a tree. He then chopped his hands off with a machete.
The father then got back on his bike and left, with the teen left by himself screaming in pain and crying out for help, Mirror reported.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and the father is currently on the run from authorities.
Many readers praised the father for taking matters into his own hands and punishing the teen the way he did.
"Justice has been served! I know this is another country. When the justice system doesn't work people are forced to take matters into their own hands! The same thing is happening here in the USA. We are not getting the justice that the citizens want! The liberals have watered down the penalty system ware criminals are run through a revolving door! If things don't change we will see a lot more vigilantism!" one Mad World News reader commented on the site's Facebook page.
"The rapist got less than he deserved. An 8 month old baby???? For God's sake, how hard is it to figure out that it had to have cause permanent damage? I don't blame the father at all. If justice had been meted out, appropriate justice, the father would never have been driven to this," another wrote.
"Protecting our children is a fathers first job. Id say this father made sure he wouldn't rape another child. I call it justice. Theres a time to kill when someone hurts ur child. Even wild animals protect their young," another reader added.
Others felt as though the father should have taken his punishment a step further.
"Eye for an eye? I think it should have been his genitals cut off instead of his hands but I think at that point he was just thinking of killing him,not for him to live so that part probably wasn't a concern," one reader wrote.
"Any one who rapes a child should get a hard sentence. This people are cowards. That's why they pick on children. They can't fight back. From the mouth of a rapist. Let the family take care of them. No holds barred," another added.
